The portfolio made a total profit of $ 27,252.80 where $ 27,147.8 came from capital gain and $ 106 from dividend earnings. The portfolio went up possibly due to election on 4th November since most counters were down before the election due to market uncertainty. Selection of the right counter needs to be supported by good research in technical and fundamental analysis. Diversification of the stocks in a portfolio is also important in minimizing risk. In addition, lowly priced stocks are less volatile and provide huge returns per $ invested. The investment goal at the moment would be to buy and hold the portfolio for the medium term.
