Change consulting agency is a firm that provides counselling services to a large population and the general public. The second step is for the agency to develop a questionnaire that their clients will fill out over time with their information and what they seek to gain from the counselling process(Milner & O’Byrne, 2016). The questionnaire will act as a guideline for the counsellor in establishing the client’s situation during inception into the agency and at the end of the process.
Adoption
The third step is to consider the adoption of certain measures to help gauge the client’s treatment development. The current best practices that the agency would consider is the use of computer-based practices. Use of computers and technology will help facilitate the testing process and allow for greater precision in score reporting and interpretation. In support of this option, the counsellors at the agency will need to have certain competencies to enable them to effectively perform the assessment. The counsellors will need to use and interpret assessment instruments, informed consent in assessments, diagnosis of mental disorders and scoring and interpretation of the assessment(Milner & O’Byrne, 2016). As the counselling process progresses, the use of computer-based practices applies where the counsellor is able to assess the client’s condition especially for those with mental disorders. The client will also be put to assessment to give a clear scope of how well their recovery is and how long is it taking. The computer-based assessment will provide a general view of the client’s health development.
Completion of the counselling process
Upon the completion of the counselling process, the post-test assessment intends to capture the client’s development from the counselling process. As such the client is expected to answer the questions better than earlier and the analysis of the assessment should give a positive improvement. Additionally, the agency will evaluate the client’s satisfaction with the services they were offered and how effective it was to their health. However, this can only happen when the client’s outcome has been obtained after the post-test assessment and the counsellor is satisfied that the client has successfully gained from the process(Publications, 2015). The evaluation can be conducted through a questionnaire enquiring about the client’s view of the counselling process and facilities utilized in aiding the process. Moreover, the client can also comment on what they felt needed to be improved on for a better counselling process to be achieved.
